I read this today on geek sugar. I was so glad to find that they love the Mimobots as much as I do!
The Tokidoki For MIMOBOT Collection
The second tokidoki for MIMOBOT collection has arrived, and it’s pretty in pink — just in time for Valentine’s Day. Designed by Simone Legno, these limited-edition Tokidoki Flash Drives come preloaded with fancy digital content and artwork by Legno. Drives are priced at $25 for the 1GB version, $30 for the 2GB, $40 for the 4GB, and $60 for the 8GB model.
Now that I’ve been writing this blog and working on other projects online, I have been working my flash drive overtime. I need one with more memory. The mimobot drives are cute and functional. The prices range from 1GB $34.95 to 8GB $99.95.
I also adore the style books by Andrea Linnett and Kim France. They have great photos, information to help you merge your personal style with the classic styles you love, and how to build an amazing wardrobe.
I’ve been reading the posts about Domino magazine on the Paris Apartment blog by Claudia. I’m truly lazy these days because I’ve been going through tons of drama…like many people. Anyway, she recommended her readers to post about the mag. So, this is my little contribution:
I have been reading lots and looking for things to add to the blog, but I haven’t been inspired enough to write. Hopefully, I will be inspired to share something interesting soon.
I haven’t written for a while. I guess I haven’t had the time. I was reading the news online when I came across a story of several people injured, and three people dying today due to Black Friday Sales. Here are a few things that help me deal with the holiday consumer chaos. If you are out shopping:
Take your time.
Plan ahead where you’re going and directions (if necessary).
Remember what Suze Orman says, “People first, then money, then things”. What you’re buying is not worth your life and health or the life and health of another person.
If you have to buy things that are not an immediate need, try to buy online. There are tons of coupon/promotional codes floating around. Yes, you have to pay shipping, but you will probably have less stress, and you can research what the best price is for your items.
Well that’s all for now. Take it easy and be safe.
I was reading a forum and was delighted to find out this winter and animated movie based on the book “The Tale of Despereaux” by Kate DiCamillo is scheduled for release. I love the book. It’s a great story for adults and children. There is a website for the movie by Universal Pictures with lots of goodies including videos and photo galleries. There is a gallery on Imdb, a video trailer, and the listing of the cast and crew. So exciting!
I think taking a walk in autumn is one of my favorite things. The coolness in the air feels fresh and crisp and helps me clear my mind. I found a few lovely New England autumn shots.
The main goal for my blog was to share ideas on affordable luxuries while developing my writing skills. To me luxuries are the things that are outside the perimeter of our necessities. Those things that are extra and enhance our lives. Whatever brings a smile to your face or makes your life a little sweeter, something that comforts you. For me it’s the ability to spend time writing, drawing, and reading a good book.
I also had the goal of sharing great music because that is also something many people can enjoy at a reasonable price. I have yet to meet a person who doesn’t enjoy some type of music. It’s one of the things that all people can relate to regardless of race, nationality, religion, you name it. In my opinion, music is universal and speaks to our humanity.
I found a link to Anggun’s website while I was reading a fashion forum. When I heard her song I’ll be alright, I thought I recognized her voice. After watching several of her music videos I came across Snow on the Sahara. I finally realized where I had heard her before! I loved that song when it was released. Actually, I couldn’t get enough of it. My new favorite is I’ll be alright. Since going through way too much drama this past year, entirely more than my share in my opinion, I find the song is soothing and motivating.
I’ll be alright
Tell me is it worth the pain When our pride plays the wrong game Blinded by suspicious mind Thougt u could read my heart and cross the line
In everything u see Keep everything back me
Though my broken heart, tear my dreams apart I’ll be alright I’ll be alright
Just a broken heart, not a word to fight I’ll be alright I’ll be alright
Deep that bad taste in your mouth Half your truth stay on your side Unleash all your demons free They’ve been hiding All that you’ve refused to see Take everything back me
Though my broken heart, tear my dreams apart I’ll be alright I’ll be alright
Just a broken heart, not a word to fight I’ll be alright I’ll be alright
Obvious inside I’ll be alright
Through the years, many tears I have wasted I’ve moved on, moving on
Can’t erased can’t replaced What I’ve tasted Life’s goes on, an on…
I’ll be alright
I’ll be alright – French
This was the first song I heard by Anggun years ago, I still think it’s lovely.
Snow on the Sahara
Only tell me that you still want me here
When you wander off out there
To those hills of dust and hard winds that blow
In that dry white ocean alone
Lost out in the desert
you are lost out in the desert
But to stand with you in a ring of fire
I’ll forget the days gone by
I’ll protect your body and guard your soul
From mirages in your sight
Lost out in the desert
If your hopes scatter like the dust across your track
I’ll be the moon that shines on your path
The sun may blind our eyes, I’ll pray the skies above
For snow to fall on the Sahara
If that’s the only place where you can leave your doubts
I’ll hold you up and be your way out
And if we burn away, I’ll pray the skies above
For snow to fallon the Sahara…
Just a wish and I will cover your shoulders
With veils of silk and gold
When the shadows come and darken your heart
Leaving you with regrets so cold
Lost out in the desert
If your hopes scatter like the dust across your track
I’ll be the moon that shines on your path
The sun may blind our eyes, I’ll pray the skies above
For snow to fall on the Sahara
If that’s the only place where you can leave your doubts
I’ll hold you up and be your way out
And if we burn away, I’ll pray the skies above
For snow to fall on the Sahara…
